Alarms
The alarm didn’t ring on my iPhone
- On iOS 26 and later, allow Alarms for PrayerWake when asked (or in Settings → PrayerWake).
- On earlier iOS versions, alerts are time-sensitive notifications: allow notifications, turn on Time Sensitive, and check your ring/silent switch and Focus settings.
- Open PrayerWake at least once every few days so it can schedule the next alarms.
The alarm didn’t ring on Android
- In PrayerWake, open Settings → Reliability & permissions and fix anything marked.
- Allow “Alarms & reminders” and full-screen alerts, and set battery usage to “Unrestricted”.
- On Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo, Vivo and some Samsung phones, also allow auto-start. The in-app guide opens the steps for your phone.
How do I stop the alarm?
Open the alarm and complete the short wake challenge. You can practise it any time in Settings → Try the wake challenge.
Prayer times
If times differ from your mosque, try the method used in your country (Settings → Calculation), switch Asr to Hanafi if you follow the Hanafi school, or shift a prayer by a few minutes with manual adjustments.
Widgets
iPhone: touch and hold the Home Screen or Lock Screen, tap Edit → Add Widget, then choose PrayerWake. Android: touch and hold the home screen, tap Widgets, then choose PrayerWake.
